Yes, you can schedule posts on LinkedIn itself: start a post, click the Clock icon, pick a date and time between 10 minutes and 3 months ahead, and click Schedule. To see your scheduled posts, start a post again, click the Clock icon and choose View all scheduled posts, where you can preview, edit, reschedule or delete each one.
The LinkedIn steps and limits here come from LinkedIn's Help Center, checked on October 24, 2026 (see Sources).
Can you schedule posts on LinkedIn?
Yes. LinkedIn lets you write a post now and have it published later, from your profile on desktop and in the mobile app. LinkedIn Page admins can schedule posts for their Page too (see the Page section below).
LinkedIn states these limits for posts from your profile:
- How far ahead: between 10 minutes and 3 months from the current time.
- Which times: the time menu offers 30-minute steps, and you can type a specific time instead.
- Time zone: LinkedIn converts the time you pick to UTC based on your device's time zone settings.
- What you can't schedule: events and jobs.
How to schedule a post on LinkedIn (desktop)
- Click Start a post at the top of your LinkedIn homepage. The Create a post window opens.
- Write your post in the "What do you want to talk about?" field.
- Click the Clock icon in the lower-right corner.
- In the Schedule post window, pick the date and time, then click Next. The scheduled date and time now show above your post.
- Click Schedule. A confirmation appears in the lower left of the page.
Changed your mind before clicking Schedule? Click the Clock icon again to pick a new time, or click Edit next to the time and then Clear time to post it now instead.
How to schedule a post on LinkedIn (mobile)
- Tap Post in the navigation bar. The Share post window opens.
- Write your post in the "Share your thoughts..." field.
- Tap the Clock icon in the upper-right corner.
- Pick the date and time, then tap Next.
- Tap Schedule.
To cancel the schedule before you tap Schedule, tap Edit next to the time and then Clear.
How to see your scheduled posts on LinkedIn
LinkedIn's Help Center reaches your scheduled posts from the post window. When you have posts in the queue, the Clock icon shows a badge with how many are scheduled.
On desktop:
- Click Start a post at the top of your homepage.
- Click the Clock icon in the Create a post window.
- In the Schedule post window, click View all scheduled posts in the lower-left corner.
The Scheduled posts page shows a preview of every post you've scheduled. Click a post to see its details.
On mobile:
- Tap Post in the navigation bar.
- Tap the Clock icon.
- Tap View all. Your posts are on the Scheduled posts screen; tap one to see its details.
How to edit, reschedule or delete a scheduled LinkedIn post
LinkedIn says that once a post is scheduled, you can change its publish time or delete it, and its steps also cover editing the post itself. Start from the list of scheduled posts above, then:
- To edit the post or change its time: click or tap the More icon in the upper right of the post, then choose Edit post or Modify schedule.
- To delete it: click or tap the Delete icon next to the post, then confirm with Delete in the "Delete scheduled post?" window.
Scheduling for a LinkedIn Page
Page posts follow their own rules, and LinkedIn documents them separately:
- Who can schedule: super admins and content admins of the Page.
- How far ahead: between an hour from now and three months in advance.
- What you can't schedule for a Page: events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs and service posts.
- Where the scheduled posts are: in the Page admin view, click Page posts in the left menu, then Start a post, the schedule icon in the lower right, and View all scheduled posts. On mobile, tap Dashboard, choose Page posts, tap Post, the schedule icon and View all.
- What you can do there: Post now, Edit post, Modify schedule or Delete post, from the More icon of each post. You can also manage posts other admins scheduled, and if an admin is removed from the Page, their scheduled posts move to the admin who removed them.
- Deleting is final: a deleted scheduled Page post can't be recovered, so reschedule it if only the time is wrong.
Scheduling LinkedIn posts in Postopus
LinkedIn's own scheduler lives in the post window. If you plan a week of posts, or post on LinkedIn and X, Postopus gives you a few things to work with:
- A calendar. Every scheduled post shows on a month or week calendar (day by day on a phone), and in the Scheduled tab of your posts. Drag a post to another day to reschedule it.
- A queue. Set weekly time slots in your posting schedule, then use Add to queue to put a post in the next free slot.
- A live preview. The LinkedIn preview updates as you type and cuts your post where LinkedIn shows "...more".
- A first comment. Write it with the post and Postopus posts it right after the post goes live.
- Your time zone. Pick the date and time in your browser's time zone or a fixed one.
One limit to know: Postopus publishes to your personal LinkedIn profile. It doesn't post to LinkedIn company pages yet; that waits on LinkedIn approving our app. For a Page, use LinkedIn's own scheduler above.
Picking the time is its own question; see the best time to post on LinkedIn for what three posting-time studies found.
