Brain

Tako learns who you are.

The Brain is where you tell Tako about yourself, how you sound, what is true about your work and what you read. Every draft starts there, and you can see exactly what Tako sees.

Voice, in your own words first

You describe how you write. As you publish through Postopus, Tako learns from your real posts and refines that picture, with your description as the base.

  • Refined by the posts you publish
  • Import your past X posts so Tako has more to learn from

Identity

Say who is speaking. A person writes as "I"; a company, or a founder speaking for one, writes as "we". Tako drafts from that point of view.

Writing rules

Your own rules on every draft

Switch on rules such as no hashtags, no emojis or no em dashes, or write your own, like "Give one concrete number in every tip". Tako follows them on every draft and suggestion it writes with you, and your rules win over its defaults.

  • Presets and custom rules
  • Set when you start, edit any time in Brain > Voice
  • Each person keeps their own rules

Facts, so drafts stay true

Add real projects, numbers, links, offers and stories. Tako is told to use only these. When a draft needs a detail you have not added, it writes a placeholder for you to fill in.

  • Drafts draw on your facts
  • Missing details become placeholders

No guessing

A placeholder in the draft, not an invented name or number.

Sources for what to talk about

Add RSS or Atom feeds, such as your blog or a changelog. Tako reads them when it drafts, to suggest what to talk about. Postopus stores only the feed link.

See what the AI sees

The Brain shows the exact context a draft receives, block by block, including the example posts Tako draws on for your voice. If a block is empty, you know what to add.

Set up in a few steps

When you start, Postopus asks about you, your voice, the topics you write about, your writing rules and accounts whose writing you admire. All of it stays editable.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Tako write my posts for me?

No. Tako drafts when you ask, inside the editor. You edit the draft, and Postopus only publishes when you press Publish or Schedule.

Where does Tako learn my voice from?

From what you write in the Brain, the rules you set, and the posts you publish through Postopus. You can also import your past X posts.

Will Tako make up facts about my business?

Tako is told to use only the facts you add, and to write a placeholder when a detail is missing. AI can still get things wrong, so read every draft before you publish it.

Can my team share a voice?

Yes. Owners and admins can turn on a team voice for a workspace. Teammates can write in your personal voice only if you turn on "Let teammates write in my voice".
