Why the name
Posting is many small jobs at once: ideas, drafts, previews, schedules, first comments. An octopus has an arm for each. Tako helps with all of them, and the writing stays yours.
タコtako, octopus
The word for octopus in Japanese, and the name of our eight-armed mascot.
What Tako learns from
You tell Tako about yourself in the Brain. Every draft starts there.
You describe how you write. As you publish through Postopus, Tako learns from your real posts and refines that picture, with your description as the base.

Yours firstyour rules come before Tako's defaults
Pick presets like no hashtags, no emojis or short sentences, or write your own. Tako follows them on every draft and suggestion.
{placeholder}where a fact is missing
Projects, numbers, links, offers and stories. Drafts use only these, and a missing detail becomes a placeholder for you to fill in.
I or weset once, used in every draft
A person writes as "I"; a company, or a founder speaking for one, writes as "we". Tako drafts from that point of view.
Add RSS and Atom feeds as topic signals. Postopus stores only the link.
What Tako does when you ask
Tako only works when you ask, and what it writes lands in the editor as a draft.

In the editor
Rewrite in my voice, Rewrite with a prompt, Repurpose it for the other platform, Make this a thread, Hooks and Remix. Select a line to work on just that part, with Restore if you prefer your words.

Ideas
Turn an idea or a saved post into a draft as it is, or ask Tako to draft it in your voice.

Inspiration
Save a post you admire with a note on why it works, then turn it into a draft, as it is or with Tako in your voice.
What Tako never does
Everything Tako writes lands in the editor. Only Publish or Schedule sends a post, and only when you press it.
Teammates can write in your voice only if you turn on "Let teammates write in my voice".
"What the AI sees" in the Brain shows the exact context a draft receives.
