FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?
Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word ('Hello World From Postopus'), which suits headlines and titles. Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence ('Hello world from postopus.'), which reads naturally in body copy and social captions.
What is camelCase vs PascalCase?
Both join words with no spaces. camelCase lowercases the first word and capitalises the rest ('helloWorld'), common for JavaScript variables. PascalCase capitalises every word including the first ('HelloWorld'), common for class and component names.
What are kebab-case and snake_case for?
kebab-case joins lowercase words with hyphens ('hello-world') and is used for URLs, CSS classes, and file names. snake_case joins lowercase words with underscores ('hello_world') and is common in Python, database columns, and config keys.
Does the converter run in my browser?
Yes. All conversion happens locally in your browser with JavaScript: your text is never uploaded or stored. You can safely convert private or unpublished content.
Does it handle punctuation and existing formatting?
UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, and Sentence case preserve your spaces and punctuation. The identifier cases (camelCase, PascalCase, kebab-case, snake_case) split your text into words at spaces, hyphens, underscores, and camelCase humps, then rejoin them, so punctuation is dropped in those four.
