Typefully Review (2026): Pricing, Features, Who It's For
By João Saraiva, founder of Postopus
Typefully is a writing and scheduling tool for X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon and Substack, best known for its clean editor and X threads. It has a free plan (10 posts a month), a Creator plan at $99 a year and a Business plan at $18 to $20 a month per social set, and it is a strong pick for individual writers, especially on X.
Facts in this review were checked on October 20, 2026 on typefully.com and typefully.com/pricing. Prices and plans change, so check there before you buy.
What Typefully is
Typefully describes itself as an AI-powered, collaborative social media scheduler. In practice it is a focused editor where you write posts and threads, preview them, and schedule or publish them to several networks at once.
Its pricing counts social sets. Typefully defines a social set as the social media accounts of one person or brand, so you write once and cross-post to each of them. The Free and Creator plans include one social set; Business includes up to 50.
Pricing (checked October 20, 2026)
Is Typefully free? Yes. The Free plan costs nothing and includes scheduling, a calendar, every supported network, the API and first comments on LinkedIn. It is capped at 10 posts a month, with one social set, one user and limited media uploads.
| Plan | Price | Posts a month | Social sets and users | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 | 1 set, 1 user | Scheduling, calendar, all networks, API and MCP, shared drafts with comments |
| Creator | $99 a year (annual billing only) | 1,000 | 1 set, 1 user | AI writing assistant, X analytics, unlimited media uploads, high-quality images |
| Business | $18 a month per social set billed yearly, or $20 monthly | 1,500 | Up to 50 sets, unlimited users | Teams, roles and permissions, Slack channel notifications, more AI usage, higher API limits |
How much does Typefully cost for a team? Business is priced per social set, so three brands on yearly billing cost $54 a month and ten cost $180 a month. Users are unlimited on Business.
What it does well
- The editor. Typefully's reputation rests on a calm, fast editor with keyboard shortcuts, auto-numbering for threads, long-form X posts and previews of threads, mentions and media before you publish. There is also a Mac app.
- Many networks from one draft. Every plan, Free included, publishes to X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Threads, Mastodon and Substack.
- A free plan you can actually use. Ten posts a month is enough to try the whole flow, including scheduling and the calendar.
- LinkedIn extras on every plan. First comments and LinkedIn PDF carousels are not locked behind a paid tier.
- Engagement tools on every plan: scheduled reposts, an automatic plug (a reply added when a post goes viral), auto-DMs and giveaways, and a "thread finisher" that quotes the start of a thread at its end.
- Integrations. The API, an MCP server, Zapier, Notion, Raycast and Slack DM notifications are on every plan, so AI agents and other tools can queue drafts for you.
- Collaboration. Shared drafts with comments work on every plan; Business adds teams and permissions to control who can write and who can publish.
Limits
- Analytics are for X only. The pricing page lists X analytics (metrics, profile conversion rate, streaks, CSV export) on Creator and Business. LinkedIn analytics are not listed.
- The free plan has no AI and no analytics. Both start on Creator.
- Creator is annual only. There is no monthly option for one person.
- Team cost grows with each brand. Business is charged per social set, so agencies and people with several brands pay more as they add them.
- Posting caps. Even paid plans have a monthly post limit (1,000 on Creator, 1,500 on Business).
Who it's for
Typefully suits individual writers who care about the writing experience, and especially people who post threads on X. The free plan is a low-risk way to start, and Creator at $99 a year is cheap for one person. It also suits people who want one draft on X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon.
It fits less well if you need LinkedIn analytics, or if you run several brands and want one flat price.
Alternatives
If you want a different approach, here is ours. Postopus is the brand engine for people who write, on LinkedIn and X. Its AI, Tako, learns your voice from your Brain and the posts you publish, drafts only from the facts you give it (a missing detail becomes a {placeholder} for you to fill in) and never publishes for you. You stay the author.
Where Typefully wins: it is free to start, it publishes to more networks (Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon, Substack), and for one person on X, Creator at $99 a year costs less than any Postopus plan.
Where Postopus differs:
- Writing rules and facts. Tako follows your own writing rules on every draft and uses only the facts you add, and you can see exactly what it sees. See AI writing in your voice.
- All your brands on one plan. Deep Diver is $79 a month (or $790 a year) for all your projects and up to 5 people; Inkling is $29 a month (or $290 a year) for one project. Every feature is on every plan, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card. See pricing.
- Approval before publishing: an owner or admin approves a writer's post before it can go out. See teams.

Free tools for X and LinkedIn, whatever you use: the tweet preview and thread splitter, the Twitter character counter and the LinkedIn post preview.
