Connect LinkedIn and X
Connect your LinkedIn profile and your X accounts so you can publish from Postopus.
Postopus publishes to LinkedIn personal profiles and to X. LinkedIn company pages are not supported yet. You can connect several LinkedIn and X accounts to one workspace.
Connect an account#
- Open Social Accounts in the sidebar.
- In the LinkedIn or X panel, choose Connect Account.
- LinkedIn or X opens its own page and asks you to allow Postopus. Approve it.
- You come back to Postopus, and the account shows with its name and handle.
Postopus never sees or stores your LinkedIn or X password. The connection is a token from LinkedIn or X, stored encrypted.
You can also connect during setup, or from the editor when you go to publish without a connected account.
Connect a second account on the same platform#
LinkedIn and X sign you in to the account you last used in that browser. To connect a different one, Postopus first offers 1. Log out of LinkedIn (or X). Log out there, then choose 2. Continue to Connect and sign in with the other account. If logging out does not work, try connecting from a private window.
Favorite accounts#
Star an account to make it a favorite. Favorite accounts are selected for you when you create a new post. At least one account must stay a favorite.
Import your past X posts#
On an X account, choose Import past posts. Postopus brings in your earlier posts, and Tako learns your voice from them too. LinkedIn does not offer a way to read your past posts, so this is X only.
Disconnect an account#
Choose Disconnect account on the account, then Disconnect. Postopus revokes its access at LinkedIn or X and deletes the stored token. You can connect the account again later.
If an account stops working, see Reconnect an account.
