Get started
Sign in, finish the short setup, and write your first post with Tako's help.
Postopus is where you write, preview and schedule your LinkedIn and X posts. Tako, the AI inside it, learns how you write and helps with drafts. You stay the author: nothing is published until you publish it.
Go to app.postopus.com. There are no passwords. Pick one of these:
- Continue with Google, to sign in with your Google account.
- Continue with email, then Send magic link (a sign-in link arrives by email) or Send one-time code (a 6-digit code arrives by email and you type it in).
Signing in for the first time creates your account. Every account starts with a 7-day free trial, and you do not need a card for it.
Finish the setup#
The first time you sign in, a short setup walks you through six steps. Your progress is saved, so you can stop and pick up where you left off.
- Profile. Your first name and a name for your workspace. Website and "What do you do, for whom?" are optional and help Tako write about what you actually do.
- Voice. Pick at least one writing style and add at least one topic. You can also add a few posts you have written, the strongest signal Tako learns from.
- Writing rules. Optional rules Tako follows on every draft, such as "No hashtags" or "No em dashes". See Set up your Brain.
- Connect. Connect X or LinkedIn. You can skip this and connect later. See Connect LinkedIn and X.
- References. Optional: the X handles of people whose posts you admire, saved with your onboarding answers. This step only appears once X is connected.
- Your first idea. Write a couple of sentences about what you want to post, then Write my drafts. Tako gives you three takes. Use this draft opens the one you pick in the editor, and the other two are saved to your Ideas. Skip for now takes you straight to the app.
Find your way around#
The sidebar holds everything you use day to day:
- Create Post opens the editor.
- Posts lists your scheduled, draft and published posts, with a calendar. See The calendar and your posts.
- Media is your library of images and videos.
- Studio groups Brain, Ideas and Inspiration.
- Social Accounts is where you connect LinkedIn and X.
Settings and billing are in the menu under your name, at the bottom of the sidebar. Your workspaces are in the switcher at the top.
