First comments and auto-repost
Add a first comment that is posted right after your post, and repost it later on its own.
Add a first comment#
Under the post in the editor, write in First Comment. It is optional. When you write one, Postopus posts it right after the post: as a comment on LinkedIn, and as a reply on X. A LinkedIn first comment can be up to 1,250 characters.
People often use it for a link, so the post itself stays link-free, or to start the conversation.
First-comment templates#
If you often write the same first comment, save it. Choose Templates next to the first comment, then Manage templates to create one. Pick a template to fill the comment in.
Auto-repost#
Turn on Auto-repost to share the post again later as a native repost. Choose how many times (1 to 3) and how far apart. The delays on offer depend on the platform:
| Platform | Delay options |
|---|---|
| X | 6, 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours |
| 8, 24, 48 or 72 hours, or 7 days |
On LinkedIn you can add Commentary to the repost. X reposts have no commentary.
Once the post is scheduled, its auto-repost settings are locked. Unschedule the post to change them.
